Louise Alenius: Competition piece commissioned by the Carl Nielsen International Competition.

OPENING CONCERT OF THE CARL NIELSEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
On the birthday of Carl Nielsen (born 9 June 1865), violinist and 2019 Nielsen Competition winner Liya Petrova performs Jean Sibelius’ Violin Concerto.

3^rd  ROUND / SEMIFINAL – performed without conductor, 6 candidates
Candidates will perform 2 pieces from a repertoire of:

1)
Any work for solo flute chosen by the candidate, maximum duration 6 minutes.

2)
a) C. P. E. Bach: Flute Concerto in D minor, Wq 22 (H. 425)
b) C. P. E. Bach: Flute Concerto in G major, Wq 169 (H. 445)

FINAL ROUND – performed from memory, 3 finalists
