Heewon Han, 24
Flutist Heewon Han was born in Seoul. At 15, she was admitted to the Korea National University of Arts as a gifted student. She continued her studies at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria under Prof. Paolo Taballione, where she graduated early as an outstanding student. She then earned her master’s degree with highest honors at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig, studying with Prof. Anna Garzuly-Wahlgren. In 2023, at just 21 years old, she became the youngest principal flutist of the Robert Schumann Philharmonie at the Städtische Theater Chemnitz, a position she held until the 2025 season. She is currently Principal Flute of the UAE National Orchestra.
