Xiaoxi Li, 21

Xiaoxi Li began studying the flute at the age of 10 under Professor Guoliang Han and, in 2017, was accepted to the Central Conservatory of Music (Beijing, China), where she continued her studies with Guoliang Han and Ye Liu. During her time at the Central Conservatory of Music, she was awarded 3rd prize in the school scholarship competition. In 2019, she was accepted to the Colburn Music Academy in Los Angeles and began studies with Professor Jim Walker. She is currently a fourth-year student at the Curtis Institute of Music, studying under Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Flute Jeffrey Khaner and The Metropolitan Opera Principal Flute Chelsea Knox. She has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Kunming, and Changsha Symphony Orchestras. She has also been a laureate of several international competitions, receiving top prizes in the 49th National Flute Association High School Soloist Competition, 2nd Concurso Internacional de Mãsica China-Español, Florida Flute Association High School Soloist Competition, and 10th Anton Eberst International Flute Competition. She placed second in the 8th Severino Gazzelloni International Flute Competition (Category A), where she also won the prize for Best Interpretation of a French Work. In 2025, she was a semifinalist in the 11th Kobe International Flute Competition.
