Elvin Schlanger, 28
Based in Southern California, Elvin Schlanger serves as the Principal Flute of the Dayton Philharmonic, and the 3rd Flute/Piccolo of the Las Vegas Philharmonic. He has made appearances with orchestras around Southern California such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Pacific Symphony. He has had the opportunity to study at renowned summer festivals such as Music Academy of the West, Hidden Valley Festival of Winds, and Domaine Forget. Elvin received his AD from the Colburn School where he studied with Jim Walker, his MM from the Yale School of Music studying with Ransom Wilson, and his BM from CSU, Long Beach where he studied with Dr. John Barcellona. Elvin is a Haynes Young Artist and plays a Haynes Custom Fusion flute.
