Jia Zhao, 25

Jia Zhao is currently a Master’s student at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she has studied flute with Professors Ling Li, Bile Zhang, and Guoliang Han. She has won 2nd Prize at the 9th Vladivostok International Youth Musicians Competition in Russia, 3rd Prize at the Moyse International Flute Competition in Bulgaria, and 1st Prize at the 4th Asian International Flute Competition in Tokyo, Japan. At the Central Conservatory of Music, she was selected as one of the “Top 10” Outstanding Music Talents and has presented four solo recitals in China. She has also been awarded the China National Scholarship and the Central Conservatory of Music Outstanding Scholarship for three consecutive years. As a performer, she has collaborated with the Zurich Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra.
