Der vil blive lagt vægt på ansøgernes ypperlige tekniske og musikalske profil, et indgående repertoire- og stilkendskab samt på en åben indstilling til samarbejde på højeste kunstneriske niveau.

Der stilles akkompagnatør til rådighed ved selve konkurrencen.
Ansøgeren afholder selv rejse- og opholdsudgifter.

3. Runde:
W. A. Mozart: Dissonanskvartet K. 465, 1. sats, 1. violinstemmen

Lønnen udgør:

2. solo: kr. 32.606,61 pr. md.

Pension: 17,00 %

Odense Symfoniorkester er et landsdelsorkester med 65 musikere og 16 tekniske-/administrative medarbejdere. Orkestret, som har hjemsted i Odense Koncerthus, har et årligt publikumstal på godt 85.000. Kernen i orkestrets virke er symfoniske koncerter. Dertil kommer skole- og familiekoncerter, kirke- og kammerkoncerter, operaforestillinger og cd-indspilninger. Odense Symfoniorkester turnerer desuden regelmæssigt i ind- og udland. Det årlige budget er på cirka 60 mio. kr.

2nd solo 1st violin position

– Starting as soon as possible

The audition will take place in the concert hall, Odense, Friday 24th January 2025

Odense Symphony Orchestra is looking for a 2nd solo violinist for our 1st violin group. We place focus on the applicant’s outstanding technical and musical profile and on the soloistic presentation as well as a broad knowledge of repertoire and style and on an open and cooperative attitude in the role of group leader.

The jury reserves the right to invite a limited number of applicants.

Invited applicants will be notified by email the 8th January 2025.

The orchestra will provide an accompanist for the audition.
Travel and accommodation are at the applicant’s own expense.

1st round to be played behind a screen.

1st round:
1st and 2nd movements, including cadenza, from one of the following concertos:
W. A. Mozart: Concerto for violin no. 3 in G-Major (KV. 216), no. 4 in D-Major (KV. 218) or no. 5 in A-Major (KV. 219)
Orchestral excerpts.

2nd round:
1st movement, including cadenza, from one of the following concertos:
Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky or Nielsen
Orchestral excerpts.

3rd round:
W. A. Mozart: “Dissonance” quartet K. 465, 1st mvmt, 1st violin part

Salaries and working conditions are in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Musicians Union and Dansk Erhverv.

This amounts to:
2nd solo 32.606,61 DKK/month.
Pension: 17,00 %

Applicants with citizenship other than EU/EØS are responsible for obtaining valid residence and work permits by the time of employment in Denmark.

Odense Symphony Orchestra is a regional orchestra with 65 musicians and a technical-/administrative staff of 16 employees. The orchestra is based in Odense Concert Hall and has an annual audience of approx. 85.000. The core activity is the performance of symphonic concerts. In addition to this the orchestra’s schedule includes school and family concerts, church and chamber concerts, opera performances and CD recordings. The orchestra tours regularly in Denmark and abroad. The annual budget is approx. 60 million DKK.
